About REpose
Veteran.
Richmonder.
Your advisor.
REpose was built on a simple idea: the person who helps you find a home and the person who helps you escape it should know you — and care about getting it right.
The Story
"I didn't plan to become a real estate agent. I planned to help people — and real estate turned out to be one of the best ways I could do that."
I'm Michael Plowcha — a US Air Force veteran, lifelong learner, and proud Richmonder since 1999. Growing up, I moved constantly across five states and multiple regions, which gave me an early appreciation for what it means to put down roots somewhere. When I landed in Richmond, I knew I was home.
After serving in the military, I started off as a telecom installer — spending my days crawling through attics, tight crawl spaces, and the bones of hundreds of homes. That experience, combined with years of hands-on homeownership, gave me a perspective most agents simply don't have. I got into real estate because I wanted my clients to truly understand what they're buying — not just fall in love with a kitchen. I want to help you find the right home at a comfort level you can actually afford, with as few surprises ..
For those relocating to Virginia, I go a step further — helping you book flights and hotels near the neighborhoods you want to explore, so you can focus on your job, your family, and your transition while REpose handles the rest. And for visitors discovering Richmond for the first time, I love sharing insider knowledge on the city's history, hotels, events, and hidden gems that most tourists never find.
Travel has always been part of who I am. Whether it's escaping Richmond's July heat on a cruise, flying to a far-off destination, or hitting a favorite theme park, I became a Fora Travel advisor because I wanted to make those experiences as effortless as possible for the people I work with — but helping people has always been the common thread. REpose is where all of that comes together.
When I'm not working, you'll find me kayaking the creeks, rivers, and lakes across Virginia, camping at the beach or in the Blue Ridge Mountains, exploring the Shenandoah Valley, or visiting the museums and national parks that make this state endlessly worth discovering. Virginia has a lot to offer — and so does the right advisor.
“I've lived in ten Richmond neighborhoods.
I have family in five surrounding counties.
This isn't just where I work — it's where I'm from.”
How We Work
The principles behind
everything we do.
Knowledgeable
From crawl spaces and attics, homes over a century old to new construction, homes that need an owner that wants to love it to the elite luxury homes — I've been there. Years as a telecom installer taught me how houses are built. Years as a homeowner taught me what to watch out for. That hands-on experience is what REpose brings to the table. I'm here to help you find your repose.
Personal
You're not a transaction. Whether you're a first-time buyer, relocating from out of state, military veteran hoping to live closer to facilities, or trying to find a luxury home near one of the 30+ golf courses within 15 miles of the city, I take the time to understand what you actually need — then I work to make it happen. I've helped people move into Richmond and helped them get away from it. Both matter.
Honest
I'll tell you when a house isn't right, when a neighborhood doesn't seem to fit your lifestyle, or when a listing photo doesn't tell the whole story. As a veteran and a teacher, I learned that straight talk builds more trust than a polished pitch. You deserve the truth, not a sale.
Rooted
I've lived in the Fan, Church Hill, Woodland Heights, Lakeside, Short Pump, and more — and I've had family and friends across Henrico, Chesterfield, Hanover, Goochland, and Powhatan since 1999. When I say I know Richmond, I mean every corner of it.
